Loreto
The history of the sanctuary begins in XIII century (10th December 1294) with the arrival of the House of the Virgin Mary in Nazareth. Recent researches confirm the authenticity of the stones and other documents, and consequently the autheniticity of the Holy House.
The Sanctuary in Loretohas been for centuries an important pilgrimage destination, and still it is nowadays for the catholics.
It has been visited by 200 saints and blesseds, and by many Popes. |
